Just after noon on Saturday E-3, E-5, E-9, T-5, R-1, BC-1, Safety 1 and Command Aid were sent to the area of E. Oglethorpe and E. Broad on a reported fire. E-3 arrived onscene to find a two story apartment building with heavy fire showing from the 1st and 2nd floors. E-3 pulled a 2 1/2 and made an interior attack while E-5 brought a hydrant. T-5 performed searches while E-9 was RIT. R-1 performed secondary searches. The fire was brought under control in about 10 minutes.

MFF. Goldman stated it was a typical fire as in the past. It took him back to the glorious times he fought the red devil with firefighter trainee Rentoul.  

R-1 was out of place at Candler Gym.
