This came in as a fire alarm at the towers with a normal alarm response.

Two upper floors at the Stillwell Towers on Waters Avenue have been flooded by sprinklers that were accidently set off this afternoon, according to fire officials.

The sprinklers began shooting out water on the 17th floor, drenching units on at least two floors below, said Mark Keller, spokesman for Savannah Fire & Emergency Services.

The American Red Cross was called to the scene, and fire officials are determining whether residents need alternative housing for the night.

Keller said there has been no evidence that indicates fire activated the sprinklers.
