Wilemere St Fire: B-shift

Shortly after midnight, E8, E1, E9, T1, R1, BC2, CA, Safety1 were dispatched to a structure fire.  Multiple calls were received, with possible entrapment.  E8 arrived to find a 1 story dwelling with 50% fire involvement.  E8 grabbed a hydrant, E1 rode past 8, pulled lines, T1 pulled in front. E8 supplied E1 with hydrant water.  Crews went to work and extiguished the fire within approximately 32 minutes.  T1 cut a hole on the roof.

 

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A fire broke out early Saturday morning, leaving a family of three out in the cold.  It started just after midnight on the 2300 block of La Roche Avenue and Wilemere Drive.  When firefighters arrived, the house was almost half way lit up with flames.  After a half hour, they finally had the inferno under control. 

Luckily, the family was able to escape without injury.  Investigators have not determined started the blaze.  The American Red Cross is helping the family get back on their feet.
